Modern Farming with Traditional Values
About Us
We are a father-son grain farm located near Armstrong, Illinois.

Doug took over the operation from his father in 1981 and has been growing the operation both in size and technology ever since.  He married Karla Buck in 1986.  Kyle was born in 1987 followed by Eric in 1989.  We moved onto the family farmstead in 1991.  Karla stayed home with the boys until they were in middle school and then she went back to school and became a nurse.  After being out of livestock for a number of years Doug put 6 acres back into pasture and started raising cows and calves again.

Kyle attended the University of Illinois and earned a Bachelors degree in Ag Mechanics in 2009.  After college Kyle decided to come home and join the operation full-time.  Kyle met Katie Pilcher in college and in 2012 they were married.  After working in the Ag industry Katie was offered the Agricultural Education teacher position at St. Joseph-Ogden High School where she has taught since 2013.  In 2014 Kyle & Katie purchased a farmstead near Royal, Illinois about 5 mins from family farm.  They raise cows and calves and keep a variety of other farm critters around.
